About Us - Our Team

The entire LSS staff, from front line support to project managers and programmers, are all part of the larger LSSe64 development team. Many of our staff are former law firm employees, so we have plenty of law office experience. We know law firms and we know the LSSe64 software. If one person isn't able to answer your question right away, they will get you to a person who can, usually within just a few minutes.

Here are a few of the people you'll get to know while working with LSS.

Rob Wardan Software Developer, President and Shareholder. Rob is the lead Software Developer and President of Legal Software Systems, Inc. He joined LSS as an intern in 1989 and went on to earn his degree from the University of Oregon College of Business in 1991. Since then, Rob has devoted his entire professional career to expanding his knowledge of law firm management and developing innovative software for our clients. He looks forward to continued development of LSSe64 and exploring new and emerging technologies.	Donna Kerber Project Manager, Secretary Treasurer and Shareholder. Donna is the Project Manager and Secretary Treasurer of Legal Software Systems, Inc. Prior to joining LSS in 2004, Donna was employed for eleven years as the Accounting Coordinator at a 50+ attorney law firm in California. She has a comprehensive understanding of both the LSSe64 software and law firm operations. Donna thoroughly enjoys helping our clients improve operational efficiencies by utilizing LSSe64 to its fullest potential.	Gayle Brown Technical and Operational Support Specialist. Gayle Brown is our Technical and Operational Support Specialist. Prior to joining LSS, Gayle earned her degreee in Computer Programming and gained 20+ years of career experience spanning a variety of roles including operations, programming, application support and general IT support. Gayle is happy to assist with any technical or operational question and strives to ensure that every support experience is a positive one.
Sheryl Murken Operational Support and Billing Services. Prior to joining LSS in 2017, Sheryl gained 20 years of experience using our software in the accounting departments of small to mid-sized law firms in Oregon. At LSS, Sheryl uses her experience to help clients with their billing questions, support requests and to provide outsourced billing services as needed. Sheryl appreciaties the fact that no two firms are identical, that there may be several possible answers to any one question, and takes great pride in helping clients find the answer that is right for their unique situation.	Joe Clark IT Assistant and Maintenance Programmer. Joe is an IT Assistant and Maintenance Programmer for Legal Software Systems, Inc. Prior to joining LSS in 2013, he earned his degree in Mathematics from the University of Oregon and was employed as a programmer at a local media company. At LSS, Joe monitors data center operations and provides technical assistance for the LSS hosted systems platform. He also creates and maintains a variety of utility programs that automate functions and streamline operations for our hosted systems.	John Plummer Founder and Shareholder (retired). John is an original founder of LSS and was the lead programmer for our earlier legacy systems. Before retiring in 2013, John was instrumental in helping us reach our goal of replacing the legacy LSS system with the new LSSe64. He provided invaluable guidance as it related to the legacy LSS functionality and helped create a comprehensive set of utilities that allow us to seamlessly migrate clients to the new LSSe64 system. John still drops by the office regularly to visit and is always happy to offer his assistance whenever asked.
